What we collect
- Account information: your email address, display name, and profile details you choose to add.
- Trip and convoy data: routes, stops, pitstop votes, expense entries, and photos you or your crew add to a trip.
- Location data: while a trip is active, Ranmap shares your live position with the other members of that specific convoy so the map and safe-distance alerts can work. Location sharing stops when you leave the trip.
- Voice data: push-to-talk audio is streamed to other members of your active convoy channel in real time; it is not recorded or stored after the channel ends.
- Device and usage information: basic technical data such as your app version and device platform, used to keep the service reliable.
How we use it
- To run the core features you use: live convoy tracking, chat, voice channels, pitstop voting, and expense settlement.
- To power the AI trip co-pilot, which processes your trip context and requests to suggest stops, routes, and answers.
- To send you account-related emails, such as password resets and important service notices.
- To improve reliability and fix bugs, using aggregated, non-identifying technical data wherever possible.
Who can see your data
- Your live location and voice are only shared with members of the specific trip or convoy you're actively part of — never with the public or with other Ranmap users outside that group.
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
- Service providers that process data on our behalf — Supabase (account data and photo/chat storage), Google (maps, Firebase push notifications, and the Gemini AI co-pilot), Mapbox (map rendering and routing), LiveKit (voice channels), RevenueCat (subscriptions), and Twilio (phone verification) — are bound by their own data-protection obligations and only receive what's needed to provide their service.
Your controls
- You can leave a trip at any time, which immediately stops your location and voice from being shared with that convoy.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data from your account settings, or by contacting support.
- You can manage or cancel a Pro subscription at any time from your account settings.
Contact
- Questions about this policy or your data can be sent through the support page, and we'll respond directly.
